Family Friday

I was having a difficult time this morning, trying to decide what to post. Then I remembered Jared and Benji's picture! Jared wanted me to post a picture of him too. Jude had a picture posted of he and Benji, so it was only fair! So here is Benji with his boy Jared. Benji is such a lover kitty!
And I just love this picture of Emma....Buttons too. It really shows off Buttons silky soft black coat! He is one of the softest kitties ever! And if you're wondering, they are laying on the loft wall. They worry me so much! They all, especially Emma, love to sleep there! Happy Friday!!

Jared got his share of summer sun! This is a great picture of Jared and Benji! Emma looks like she could be Buttons' Momma!

Bonnie jumped from a wall like that onto the ceiling fan above the stairs... and missed. She landed on the landing (maybe that's why it's called that :-) and came back upstairs, just shaking her head slightly. Never tried it again. Victor's not as interested in the half-wall (as I call it).

I lie on Mom that way, but not so much on my boy; he wiggles.

Jumped?! To a ceiling fan, Victor!!? Emma actually fell from the half wall into the tv room/den...once! I had seen her sleeping up there and could tell she was napping soundly. I guess something startled her awake, or she woke up and forgot where she was. I was sitting downstairs and all I remember is hearing a scuffle (her claws scraping wood), looked up and saw her falling...already half way down as I looked up. And then landing, on her feet! It...scared...the begeebees out of me!! She walked away from me as I quickly went to her and she went under our dining room table. Obviously shaken, as was I, but nothing broken. I'm sure it didn't feel good landing that fall, but she was okay and she still sleeps there sometimes, but before she falls sound asleep, she usually moves and finds a safer cozier spot to finish her nap. ::sigh:: Hopefully she'll never forget that fall and never do a repeat of it!!

At least your cat's learned from their experiences. We had a white, American long hair named Mimi. We had a loft and below the loft was the livingroom. The couch at the bottom of the half wall. Mimi use to love sleeping up there and in a deep sleep would fall of the wall onto the couch. The first time it happened I freaked! I just knew she was baddly hurt, even though she did land on her feet. But she was fine. A little later and many times thereafter, she fell asleep again and FELL! She got to where she would get up, walk back up the stairs and go right back to sleep in her spot. It was the running joke that she "meant to do that!"

Geez, Benji is almost as big as the boy. We worry bout Beau Beau sittin' on the wall that overlooks the foyer. It's not too high but high enuf to hurt hisself. Don't want him to be like that kitty in the funny videos where he falls asleep and then falls off the wall.
