Emma and the Faucet

Lately, I've heard from a few of my fuzz pack friends, how much their cats like to drink from the faucet. So this morning I decided to see what Emma thought of it. She loved it!! I couldn't believe how she was letting the water drip right down the side of her face either! I tryed to get a picture of her drenced cheek, but alas, wasn't quick enough! LOL! I am looking at the pictures again and can't help but laugh. Sorry Emma girl! You know you're mommy loves you!

Hi Emma. Yes you look a like my Mrs. B. You are such a cutie. I love the 'profile' picture of you. Can I scratch your belly?

Hi Emma! I'm pleased to meet you! So, you've discovered the epicurian delights of faucet-hydration!! This is the ONLY way my Emily will take her water - on tap! She judges where the water stream in by putting her head directly under it, then if the water is flowing off her forehead and over her nose, she knows she's positioned correctly! I imagine she will show the babyFuZZes, Brutus and Marigold this technique in time, but for now, they take their water straight up in a bowl!
By the way, did I mention you are quite the beauty?!

Emma is so beautiful, love Tuxedo/Black & White cats. Your photos are really good -- click on them to enlarge. Check out the tongue and water in the first picture. In the second picture, look at the circle of water droplets off Emma's paw. That is too cool. So both Emma and Emily are "faucet cats". Missy is a glass cat and the glass must be on a table (for heaven's sakes, not on the floor, like a dog!).

Hi Kat and Emma,

Count my Kona among the faucet drinkers. When he was a kitten, he'd "attack" the water getting ready to flow down the drain and the faucet water would be flowing over his head, ear, and shoulder. He didn't seem to care. Eventually, he would abort his attack, get back up on the counter, and shake the excess water off on to me, standing and watching him. His playing with the water eventually became drinking it.
