DK has a praying mantis posted at her blog today, so mommy thought I'd like to post our little praying mantis friend. He or she hung out on our Rose of Sharon tree this past summer eating all the buggies that dared to try and eat our flowers, lol!

We don't see praying mantis here so it's fun to watch and see how many there are in other places!
Maybe your boy manthis should hook up with our girl manthis!
Cool bug and a very pretty flower! Mom said she use to play with them when she was little!! (Strange if you ask us!!)

Dad sez we is not allowed to chase and eat dem bugs cuz dey is good fur mom's flowers. He also told us dat da lady mantis will rip off da man mantis head after dey make babies! We think dat dis is something he is lying to us about...at least we hope so, cuz dat is gross.
So if you eat him, it's like gittin' 2 snacks in one?
Hmm, that praying mantis looks so delicio ... I mean, delicate, yeah, that's the word! :)

What a cool new friend you have there, Emma. They will protect your mommies plants from all those bugs that will eat it. Just tell them to leave you some bugs so you can have fun chasing them around the house. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful day.
